Olabode Abayomi popularly called “Yoms”, is an inspirational songwriter and gospel artist who has created a niche in music genres such as contemporary worship, afro-pop and alternative rock. His mandate is to make music that emphasizes the gospel of Jesus Christ and affirms His boundless love.
Abayomi is an ordained pastor, music minister and has been a music director since 2006. He is the founder of the Overflow United Mission; a Christian organisation that reaches out to the world through music, creative arts and charitable activities.
Olabode Abayomi has a Ph.D in Bioinformatics from the University of Manchester (UK), MSc in Medical Molecular Biology with Genetics from Bangor University (UK), MSc in Public Health and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from Nigeria. He also attended the Jesus Foundation School of Ministry and Panam College of Music Ministry.
Pastor (Dr) Olabode hails from Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria. He was born into the family of Late Rev. Dr. & Mrs Olabode and has 3 brothers and a sister. He is currently single and hopes to tie the knots as soon as God wills.
In response to God’s call, Abayomi released his first single titled “You’re the God I love” in 2016 and has since released other songs from on-going music projects. He is an avid worshipper and has used his gifting to bless many through multiple platforms including churches and gospel concerts.
